This summer I am leading the Religion-Free Bible© Discussion Series – group video discussions that explore Biblical themes and teachings from a non-religious perspective.
These dialogues are open and relevant to any person; whether you are spiritual-but-not-religious, Atheist, Agnostic, Humanist, recovering "religioholic," or a progressive individual of faith. I will approach these themes as someone with an advanced degree in theology but who does not view the Bible from a traditional Christian view.
The discussion series is a philosophical examination of the central ideas and concepts in Biblical stories and teachings. I will address the misuse of the Bible, which has caused spiritual and psychological damage in people's lives. Equally, I will explore the meaningful and universal spiritual significance and value of several biblical themes.
There is a nominal cost to participate in the calls, which will be use as scholarship funds for the personal development work I do with homeless and incarcerated men in the city of Nashville.
The summer discussion series is organized as follows.
Discussion Series One: The Four Most Misused Verses in the Bible – Starting May 2
I will address four Bible verses and corresponding Christian doctrines that have caused the greatest spiritual and psychological damage in people's lives.
Discussion Series Two: The Four Universally Liberating Concepts in the Bible – Starting June 6
In this series, I will explore four biblical themes that are relevant to the liberation and self-actualization of every human being, regardless of your beliefs.
Discussion Series Three: Solving the Four Greatest Mysteries from the Bible – Starting July 4
In this series, I will offer what I believe to be the resolution of the four greatest mysteries and controversies associated with the message of the Bible.

Sowing and Reaping
On each call, I will take time to present the subject of the week and then open it up for questions and discussion.
Here are the essential logistics:
1. The video group calls will be once a week, hosted through freeconferencecall.com, which allows you to participate by video or audio only.
2. When you enroll for the discussions, you will receive specific instructions by email on how to access the call each week. After each discussion, I send a follow-up email that summarizes the key themes and ideas we covered and discussed.
4. There are two pricing options for the first call series beginning in May:
Option A: Pick and choose the calls you'd like to participate in for $25 per call
Option B: Enroll in all four calls for a total of $80
Payments accepted through PayPal at this link. When you make your PayPal payment, include your email address so I can send additional information in preparation for each call. Each call is limited to 8 people on a first come first serve basis. Register for your spot today.
